James Suckling Prefers Cuban Cigars

According to Best Premium Cigar of the World and tobacco and wine specialist James Suckling, Cuban cigars from Habanos S.A. took the majority in the list of the Top 10 (2012). The expert said he has been smoking Cuban cigars during 2012, and would still call havanas one of the most amazing cigars.

The reason of their high-quality has been also referred to the fact that Habanos S.A. cut their production in favor of the quality, as well as set up a strong control of the tobacco leaves.

Cigars from Limited Edition release are still considered to be one of the best, such as Montecristo 520 2012 Limited Edition which occupy the first place in this list. It is followed by the Partagás Series C no. 3 Limited Edition 2012 and, of course, the Cohiba Behike 56.

In the list sent to Prensa Latina, Suckling has also mentioned the Cohiba 1966 Limited Edition 2011, Cohiba Pyramid, Montecristo No.2, and Humidor Trinidad 40th Anniversary.

Here are the rest of the brands from the Top 10 (2012) list: The Escepción Selectos Finos Edizione Regionale Italy 2011 (4th place), Edmundo Dantes Conde 54 Regional Edition Mexico (9^th place), and Davidoff Sunday Perignonm (10^th place).

Mr. Suckling pointed out that, in order to evaluate Cuban cigars, he compared their quality with other original brands from Dominican Republic, Nicaragua and Honduras. Thus, he smoked 28 cigars from Cuba, with 25 of them scoring 90 points or even more.

The wine and tobacco expert from United States has outlined that Cuban cigars from the Limited Edition release were the best cigars he had chance to smoke in 2012. He has also highlighted the Behike series cigars from the renowned Cohiba brand as being among the best as well.
